<p>TypeScript supports the following user-defined types:</p>

<p>An array is a concept supported by TypeScript and its definition is not unlike how we’d define arrays in JS. Meaning, an array is a collection of elements that share a data type.</p>

<p>The lines of code below depict the two different syntaxes used to declare and work with arrays in TypeScript.</p>

<p>TypeScript offers number-based and string-based <strong>Enums</strong>, which consitis of a set of named constants. The elements numbered in the set start from <strong>0</strong> by default, this can be altered by the developer manually.</p>

<p>In the code snippet below you can find a standard example of <strong>Enums</strong> in TypeScript.</p>

Part 2: User Defined Types 

<p>Tuples include sets of different data type values. The usage of tuples permits developers to implement an array where there is a fixed number of elements but they differ in type.</p>

<p>In the code example below you can find a standard example of <strong>Tuples </strong>and their behavior in code.</p>

<p>In the first line of code, we declared the Tuple and afterward initiated it.</p>

<p>An interface is usually compared with a contract for the app. It’s what the syntax for classes is based on. </p>

<p>This means when a class executes an interface, it will execute all of its values as well. The TypeScript compiler uses interface for type-checking that is also known as &quot;duck typing&quot; or &quot;structural subtyping&quot;.</p>

<p>Declare a Tuple which takes on string and boolean values (in that order).</p>

<p>TypeScript supports the same definition of <strong>Functions</strong> as JavaScript.</p>

<p><strong>Defining a function:</strong> The logical aspects of code that are responsible for the overall organization of your application are called <strong>functions</strong>.</p>

<p>Functions help us develop a readable, reusable, and easily maintainable application.</p>

<p>Functions in TypeScript can be <strong>named </strong>and <strong>anonymous</strong>.</p>

<p>Classes maintain the reusability aspect of components, additionally, they can be used to help create objects. ES6 supports classes in TypeScript.</p>

<p>When contrasting a <strong>Class</strong> and the <strong>Interface</strong>, you’d notice that the Class does not require implementations, unlike the <strong>Interface</strong>.</p>
